Junction City, Kansas:  Central National Bank has just announced the launch of a new online banking and financial health tool called account aggregation.

Customers who hold accounts at more than one financial institution can now view all their account balances in the Central National Bank online banking dashboard.

“It’s so annoying when you have to log in to multiple apps to see what your account balances are,” said research and development team member Geoff Wright. “Just being able to log into one place and get an accurate picture of my financial portfolio and well-being is very convenient. I can even click on each account and view my transaction history.”

The process is very similar to linking a financial account to a money management app, but it’s even more secure due to the open banking technology employed by Central National Bank’s digital banking provider, Jack Henry™, in the Banno Digital Platform™.

The process uses secure API connections to link directly with Finicity’s account aggregation service rather than relying on screen scraping to capture financial data. This means Central National Bank customers can be confident in the security and integrity of their data while enjoying the benefits of seeing their full financial picture in one place.

Following a short series of steps within the Central National Bank app to link external accounts, the secure interface allows real-time balance and transactional information to appear in the digital banking dashboard, making it easier than ever to keep tabs on your entire financial portfolio in once glance.

“We’re one of the first banks in the country to offer this sort of tool within our community bank’s online app,” said Chief Information Officer Scott Rock. “It’s another example of the ways that Central National Bank is working to provide the newest technological tools in an effort to continually improve our customers’ user experience.”

The account aggregation tool is now live.
