Topeka, Kansas.  Central National Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Topeka Market President Jason Pickerell.  He has been in banking for over 35 years. 

Pickerell is a 1988 Graduate of Valley Falls, KS High School and a 1993 Graduate from Washburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Finance. Pickerell is also a Graduate from the Graduate School of Banking in 2009 from Boulder, CO.

“I am excited to join the Central National Bank team!” said Pickerell. “Central is a great family-owned community bank with a rich history of serving Kansans all across the state. I look forward to serving the Topeka and surrounding rural communities focusing on Commercial Lending.”

Pickerell is a board member for the Jayhawk Area Association of Aging in Topeka and is also on their finance committee. He is also member of the Topeka Chamber. Formerly, Pickerell was involved in Lions Club for 10 years and a board member of the Valley Falls Athletic Association for 10 years.

Working for a family-oriented business is important to Pickerell. After 33 years of marriage, Pickerell and his wife, Paula, have three sons: Adam (28, and newly married), Drew (24, married), and Carter (18).  They are excited as they will soon be grandparents for the first time! Son, Drew, and his wife (Ally) are having a son in December 2025. Pickerell’s hobbies include collecting muscle cars, fishing, coaching and attending sporting activities of his boys.
