picture of several sign posts pointing directions to Central National Bank

The Becoming a Banker series features real, Central National Bank employees who have found a rewarding career in banking. We hope you enjoy knowing a little bit about the people who serve you.

I was managing a short-term lending store and got a call from a bank recruiter about an assistant branch manager position. I took the interview and felt like they liked me. I figured if they were interested in recruiting me then why not apply at other banks – just in case they didn’t offer me the job.

So, I applied at Central not really knowing anything about the bank except that they had an open position. Ultimately, I interviewed at both banks and even got second interviews, but then didn’t hear back from anyone. I called the first bank recruiter and was told I just didn’t have the experience. Thankfully, not two hours later I got a call from the person who interviewed me at Central and was offered a job as a banker! I’m so glad they took a chance on helping me become a banker.

If you’re looking for a professional career with room to grow, try banking! We provide on-the-job training and some great people to work with!
