The Becoming a Banker series features real, Central National Bank employees who have found a rewarding career in banking. We hope you enjoy knowing a little bit about the people who serve you.

I went to cosmetology school straight out of high school. I worked for a chain salon as a stylist and eventually got promoted to manager where I got to handle store marketing, recruiting, etc.

I learned over time that I loved leading my team, but doing hair wasn’t something I enjoyed very much. One day I was at dinner and got an automated call that my store was closing permanently. The friend I was at dinner with was the niece of a banker in town and said she knew the bank was hiring personal bankers. I applied and almost didn’t take it because it was only a part-time role!

I decided to take a chance though and went from part-time, to becoming a full-time banker and eventually manager here at Central. I’m so glad I waited it out because I love what I do.

If you’re looking for a professional career with room to grow, try banking! We provide on-the-job training and some great people to work with!
